Insulation Services: What Methods Work For You?

When considering professional insulation services, there’s a lot to think about. What type of insulation do you need? How effective is the insulation at maintaining temperature and blocking sound? Is the insulation resistant to moisture and fire? Luckily, Star Companies provides residential and commercial builders in Raytown with peace of mind through our services.

There are many insulation services to consider, each with its strengths and intended uses. Knowing your options and what works best for each area is the first step to understanding the insulation process.

Spray Foam

This spray-applied sealant is designed to fill cavities and prevent air from leaking in from cracks and crevices. We use Thermoseal open and closed cell foam from Spray Foam Polymers for our spray foam applications. The two products combined with fiberglass batt insulation can create a complete air barrier.

Fiberglass Batt

Our CEE certified team uses EcoTouch PINK Fiberglass batt insulation for various ceiling, wall, and floor applications. It is 99% natural materials and includes a minimum of 58% recycled content. Our CEE certified technicians install all insulation, and it comes with a ten-year limited warranty through Owens Corning.

Fiberglass Loose Fill

Our insulation services use the durable PROPINK line from Owens Corning for loose-fill needs. This material is non-corrosive, non-combustible, and easy to install. In addition, PROPINK resists moisture build-up and mold growth, reduces unwanted noise, does not require wet adhesives, and does not settle or deteriorate with age.

Air Sealing

At Star Companies, we use premium foam and caulk products in our insulation services when sealing your home or building. In addition, we use a process we call “super caulking” that goes beyond caulking and foam to seal every area that air can leak into throughout the home or building. This process takes time and will cost more but it will also pay for itself over time.

Star Companies has you covered if you need professional insulation services in your residential home or commercial building. Please call us at (816) 353-2160 or contact us, and we will provide you with a free estimate.
