Attic Insulation Upgrade

Did you know that most homes built before the 2000’s are under insulated? These homes suffer from higher utility bills, inconsistent room temperatures and improper venting, which can cause mold and moisture damage. If you find that your heating and cooling system runs all day, some rooms are warmer/cooler than others or your energy bills are out of control, your home is most likely the victim of being under insulated. We perform free energy evaluations to check your attic for enough insulation, air sealing and proper ventilation. The evaluation includes us checking the current type of insulation, R Value (thickness), air gaps and venting. If any of these are inadequate, we will list all our recommendations and provide a free estimate for upgrades. After insulating your attic to R-49 current code requirement, homes see up to 30% saving on their utility bills. This saves you money and helps sustain a greener environment for generations to come. Also, as an Evergy preferred partner, we can file for their energy rebate, which can save you up to 15% on your attic insulation upgrade! Check out our process, products and why you should choose Star Companies for your attic insulation upgrade.

Attic Insulation Tax Credit

The Inflation Reduction Act allows customers to receive a tax credit for insulation, up to $1200. Ask us how to qualify and see if you can take advantage of these savings!

Why Upgrade Your Attic Insulation with Star?

We are more than an insulation company, we are energy experts! All our technicians are CEE Certified (certified energy expert), which means all our technicians have passed multiple exams to receive a certification on insulation upgrades. Most companies do not comply with the CEE criteria, meaning they can’t truly say they can correctly install the right insulation, while also achieving proper ventilation and air circulation. Anyone with a truck and a blower rental can consider themselves an “insulation expert”, but without the CEE certification, you do not have the continuous education that all professional installers need. We use only state-of-the-art equipment to make sure you receive an affordable, neat insulation upgrade with no product other than Owens Corning L77 ProPINK. This is the highest-grade loose fill insulation on the market that gives you the results you desire. Our discounted pricing on materials is passed on to our customers making our bid affordable and cheaper than our competitors. Professional? Extremely. We strive to give our customers the best experience possible by arriving on-time, uniformed and with a smile on are face. Give us the opportunity to bid your attic insulation companies upgrade and see the STAR difference!

Our Process

Once the quote is accepted, we schedule the work to be complete when it best fits your schedule. Our friendly certified technician’s arrive on time in one of our state-of-the-art insulation trucks. They will review the process with you and get started with our setup process.

  • 1 SETUP: We start by setting up the truck blower rig and insulation. Hoses are attached to the rig; engines are primed, and insulation is prepped for loading. We apply covering to all flooring throughout your home that may be touched by our fill hose. Our ladder is setup in the attic access space, and we get ready to start working.
  • 2 FILLING: We add measuring boards throughout the attic, so you can see just how thick we fill the attic cavities. All soffit vents are checked for proper ventilation and any tight areas are filled prior to blown in insulation. We start filling our machine rig outside of your home to ensure your home stays clean and insulation only goes where it is supposed to! We apply the highest grade of blown-In insulation, L77 Owens Corning ProPINK. Our experts will make sure all voids are properly insulated and venting as intended. All work will be completed to or above code requirements.
  • 3 REVIEW & CLEAN-UP: After adequate insulation levels are achieved, we will take pictures for your records, in case of selling of your home. The work area will be cleaned back to its original, if not cleaner state. We review all completed work and send you a detailed invoice stating all work that was complete. We call a week later to check in on the improvements and your satisfaction!
